Resolution Wrap-Up

16 Jun

Alright, so I was looking at the New Year’s resolutions I made for 2009 and I thought I would take stock of how I’ve been doing. Unfortunately, I pretty much suck at accomplishing goals. Let’s take them one at a time.

  1. Put my Park City season pass to good use: I didn’t go snowboarding nearly enough times this winter. I blame it on my crazy school schedule. I probably went 5 times. Better than nothing I suppose.
  2. Figure out what I want to be when I grow up: Definitely not any closer to figuring this one out. I did get into the alumni mentoring program at school, so hopefully my mentor can give my some sage career advice.
  3. Follow a budget: I’d give myself about a 6.5 on this one. I wasn’t super careful with my money until I decided to move out. I’m doing much better these days, but that’s mostly because I’m super broke. I am cracking down on myself though so I can do all the things I want to do before I grow up and have a real life and responsibilities
  4. Attend ward activities: I get an F on this one. Pretty much I’m inactive in the singles ward. I did go visiting teaching once. That bumps me up to like 3 times in my whole life. I guess a 50% increase isn’t bad.
  5. Get to work before 9:00 am every day: I just realized I used a number scale on 3 and gave myself a letter grade on 4. Oh well. I probably get a 3 on this one. I’m not a fan of waking up early.
  6. Make good study habits (like actually studying): A+ By the end of the semester I was spending at least 20 hours a week at school in addition to my regular classes. Not fun.
  7. Get a 4.0 this semester: I made this goal before I realized how difficult this semester was going to be. I am thrilled with my 3.69.
  8. Pay off my car by graduation: This one is coming along nicely. I am right on schedule to get it paid off by next June (which is 9 months earlier than my loan was supposed to be).
  9. Rock in the Biggest Loser challenge: This one was a miserable failure. I think I was only down 1 pound by the end. There’s always next year I suppose.
  10. Find an awesome summer internship: I am so sad about this one. I thought I had one lined up and it never panned out. Now I’m stuck at 1 on 1 Legal Services for the forseeable future.
  11. Go out to lunch only once a week: I’ve done pretty well with this one and I think I will keep doing well.
